A meter makes the cost depend on the traffic, and a flight day is a bad time to find out how slow Highway 402 can be. With a fixed price you know the amount at the moment you book. A queue near the town centre, a slow stretch in Thalang or a wet morning does not add anything.
The same number holds at 3 am and at 3 pm. Hotel pick-up time, the hour of your flight and the mood of the traffic do not change it. What changes it is the car, and on a few dates the calendar.

Trips on 24 December to 5 January carry a holiday surcharge of 400 THB per car. In that period a sedan costs 1,399 THB, an SUV or MPV 1,599 THB, a minibus 1,899 THB and a VIP minibus 2,399 THB. Outside those dates the table price is the price.
