From landing to your hotel
- 1Land at HKTYour flight number is in the booking, so we follow the arrival.
- 2Immigration and baggageTake the time you need. A late landing does not cancel the pick-up.
- 3Gate 2 or Gate AInternational flights: your driver waits at the Gate 2 meeting point next to Exit 2. Domestic flights: Gate A.
- 4About 1 hour 5 minutes to PatongStraight to your hotel, no extra stops unless you ask.

Which car fits your group
The price depends on the car, not on how many of you sit in it, so choose by seats and bags. The table above has all four prices.
- Sedan, 999 THB: up to 3 passengers with luggage. A couple, or a small family with two or three suitcases.
- SUV / MPV, 1,199 THB: up to 4 passengers with luggage. The usual pick for four adults, or a family with plenty of bags.
- Minibus, 1,499 THB: up to 9 passengers with luggage. Friends or relatives landing on the same flight.
- VIP Minibus, 1,999 THB: up to 8 passengers in a premium cabin, for a group that wants more room after a long flight.
Count the big suitcases as well as the people. If you are one over the limit, go up a size.
The road from the airport to Patong
The airport is at the northern end of the island and Patong is on the west coast, 40 km south. Almost all of the trip is on Highway 402, Phuket's main north-south road. The driver passes the Heroines Monument roundabout in Thalang, crosses the hilly middle of the island and reaches Kathu, where the road turns toward the coast.
From Kathu the car climbs Patong Hill on Phra Barami Road and comes down into town. That climb is the only winding part of the drive. Count on about 1 hour 5 minutes in normal traffic.
The last kilometres are the slowest. Patong fills with scooters, tuk-tuks and people on foot from late afternoon into the night, so a hotel near the beach can take longer to reach than the map suggests. The distance page breaks the road down stage by stage.
Being dropped at your hotel in Patong
Patong Beach is about 3 km long. Beach Road runs along the sand, Rat-U-Thit Road runs parallel behind it, and Bangla Road links the two near the middle. The Jungceylon mall on Rat-U-Thit Road is a useful landmark if you need to tell the driver where you are.
Bangla Road becomes a walking street in the evening. If your hotel is on it or just behind it, the car stops at the nearest point it can reach and you walk the last stretch. Send the hotel name and a map pin when you book, and the driver knows the final approach before you land. There is more about the street on the Bangla Road page.
A hotel up a hill or down a small side street needs the pin just as much.
Late flights, long queues and holiday dates
Transfers run 24/7, so a landing at 2 am gets the same driver and the same price as a landing at noon. He tracks your flight number. If the plane is late, or immigration and baggage take an hour, he is still there.
If you would rather not stand in the arrivals queue, Fast Track is available at the airport. It works on arrival only, not for departures.
One date range costs more. Trips on 24 December to 5 January carry a holiday surcharge of 400 THB per car. Outside those dates the price in the table is the price.
What to send when you book
- Your flight number and arrival date.
- The name of your Patong hotel, with a map pin if you have one.
- The car size from the list above.
- Payment by Visa, Mastercard or PayPal when you book.
On arrival he waits at Gate 2 next to Exit 2 for international flights, or at Gate A for domestic ones.
Questions about this transfer
Can the driver take me to a hotel on Bangla Road?
He takes you as close as a car can get. Bangla Road is a walking street in the evening, so the last stretch may be on foot. Send the hotel name and a map pin when you book and the driver will plan the stop in advance.
My flight lands at 2 am. Will a driver be there?
Yes. The service runs 24/7 and the driver follows your flight number, so the time of landing and any delay do not change the pick-up.
Can four of us with large suitcases fit in a sedan?
A sedan carries up to 3 passengers with luggage. For four people book the SUV / MPV at 1,199 THB. For five or more, the minibus at 1,499 THB takes up to 9.
Is there a surcharge at New Year?
A holiday surcharge of 400 THB per car applies to trips on 24 December to 5 January. On other dates the price is the one shown for your car.
How do I pay?
When you book, by Visa, Mastercard or PayPal.
