Prices are per vehicle in Thai baht and include fuel, tolls and the airport pick-up. The number of passengers does not change the price, only the car you need does.

From landing to your hotel

Which way the car goes to Karon
The airport is at the northern tip of the island and Karon sits on the west coast, so the car runs almost the full length of Phuket. It leaves on Highway 402, passes the Heroines Monument roundabout in Thalang and carries on south. After the monument it joins the Phuket bypass road, follows Chao Fa Road to Chalong Circle and turns onto Route 4028 for the last stretch into Kata Karon.
That is the usual way, and the driver can change it for traffic or roadworks. Karon lies south of Patong, but the car does not drive through Patong to reach it. Count on 43 km and about 1 hour 10 minutes in normal traffic. The distance page lists the landmarks in order.
Finding your hotel in Karon
Karon Beach is a little over 3 km long and faces west, with Patong to the north and Kata to the south. Two roads help you place a hotel. One runs along the sand. Patak Road, which is Route 4028, runs behind it. A roundabout called Karon Circle near the top of the beach is the main reference point, and hotels stand on both roads and in the small sois between them.
When you book, give the hotel name and a map pin, and say whether you are on the beach road or on Patak Road. A hotel in a side soi can be a few minutes' walk from the sand, and the pin tells the driver exactly where to stop.
At the southern end Karon runs into Kata Beach, which starts a short way along past a small hill. If your hotel is close to that border, check the address and send the pin. Kata has its own transfer page, at 46 km and 1 hour 15 minutes from the airport.
Choosing the car for your group
Choose by seats and bags. The price belongs to the car, so one passenger in a sedan costs the same as three.
A couple with two suitcases fits the sedan at 999 THB, which takes up to 3 passengers with luggage. A fourth traveller moves you to the SUV or MPV at 1,199 THB, 200 THB more, with room for 4 passengers and their luggage. Five to nine people need the minibus at 1,499 THB. The VIP minibus at 1,999 THB takes up to 8 in a premium cabin, a good choice for a group that has just flown a long way and wants space.
Count the large suitcases as well as the people. If you are one over the limit, go up a size. The fleet page shows the four cars.
Late landings and holiday dates
The service runs 24/7. A flight that lands at 3 am gets the same price as one at midday, and the driver watches the flight number, not the clock. International passengers meet him at Gate 2 next to Exit 2. Domestic passengers meet him at Gate A.
Fast Track at the airport is optional and available on arrival only.
One date range costs more. Trips on 24 December to 5 January carry a holiday surcharge of 400 THB per car. On every other date the price in the table is the price.
Once you are in Karon
The beach faces west, so evenings in Karon end with the sun going down over the water. Behind the sand, Patak Road leads to Karon Temple, where a market is held twice a week. Days and hours change, so check before you go. The Karon Temple Market page has the details.

Questions about this transfer
Does the taxi to Karon go through Patong?
No. The usual route runs down Highway 402, onto the bypass road and Chao Fa Road to Chalong Circle, then along Route 4028 to Karon. Patong is the next beach to the north.
My hotel is on Patak Road, not on the beach. Is that a problem?
No. Give the hotel name and a map pin when you book and the driver goes to the door of the hotel. Many hotels in Karon are on Patak Road or in the sois off it.
Is a sedan big enough for a family of four?
A sedan carries up to 3 passengers with luggage. For four people book the SUV / MPV at 1,199 THB. For five to nine people, the minibus at 1,499 THB.
Where does the driver meet me at Phuket airport?
At Gate 2 next to Exit 2 if you arrive on an international flight, and at Gate A if you arrive on a domestic one. The driver follows your flight number.
Does the price change at night?
No. The price is fixed per car and the service runs 24/7. The only change is the holiday surcharge of 400 THB per car for trips on 24 December to 5 January.
Can I add Fast Track?
Yes, Fast Track is optional at the airport. It works on arrival only, not for a trip back to the airport.
