What you pay for on departure day
The fare covers the car and driver, fuel and tolls for the whole 40 km. The driver collects you at your hotel at the time you gave when booking and takes you to the departures hall. Payment is made at booking, by Visa, Mastercard or PayPal, so nothing is left to settle at the kerb with your bags in your hands.
The price does not move with the hour. An early-morning pick-up for a dawn flight is the same figure as a mid-afternoon one.
Matching the car to your group
Cars are priced one at a time, so the useful comparison is between cars, not between head counts.
- Four adults with full suitcases do not fit in a sedan, which takes up to 3 passengers with luggage. The SUV / MPV at 1,199 THB takes up to 4.
- Eight people can go in the minibus at 1,499 THB, which takes up to 9. The VIP minibus at 1,999 THB also seats up to 8, so choose it for the premium cabin, not for extra room.
- A couple with two cases are comfortable in a sedan at 999 THB.
Flying home between 24 December and 5 January
Trips on 24 December to 5 January carry a holiday surcharge of 400 THB per car. Flights home in the first days of January fall inside that window, so the prices on those dates are:

If your pick-up is close to midnight at either end of the period, say so when you book so the date is clear.
Why a slow hill does not raise the fare
The price is set for the route, not for the minutes. A queue at the foot of Patong Hill or a crawl through Kathu does not add to it. Traffic does change something else: how early you should leave. The distance page shows how to work back from your flight.
Checking the price against other ways to the airport
Fares for buses, shared vans, street taxis and ride-hailing change with the season, the hour and the queue, so look up the current figure on the day instead of relying on an old one. For a 40 km ride out of Patong, ask whether a taxi will use the meter or quote a fixed fare before the car moves. Then add the time you would spend waiting, because a flight does not wait for you.
