Prices are per vehicle in Thai baht and include fuel, tolls and the airport pick-up. The number of passengers does not change the price, only the car you need does.

When to leave Karon for your flight
A common recommendation is to be at the airport about 3 hours before an international flight. Treat that as general advice, not a promise from us, and follow your airline's own check-in guidance. Add the 1 hour 10 minutes of driving and the pick-up falls about 4 hours 10 minutes before departure.
For a 2 pm international flight, that means being at the airport at 11 am and leaving your hotel around 9:50 am at the latest. Most people add a margin on top for rain, a slow breakfast or a long checkout queue. For a 7 am flight the pick-up is around 2:50 am. The service runs 24/7, so a pick-up at that hour is routine.

How the pick-up in Karon works
When you book, you give the hotel name, a map pin and your flight time. The driver comes to the pick-up point at the agreed time, helps with the luggage and checks the address.
Karon hotels sit on the beach road, on Patak Road behind it and in the small sois between the two. Name the road in your booking. If your hotel is down a narrow soi, the pin tells the driver where the car can actually stop, and you can be waiting at that point with your bags.
Most hotels ask you to check out by a set time, so plan the pick-up around it and settle your bill before the driver arrives.
The road back to the airport
From Karon the car heads inland on Route 4028 to Chalong Circle, takes Chao Fa Road to the Phuket bypass road, and joins Highway 402 going north. It passes the Heroines Monument roundabout in Thalang and reaches the airport at the top of the island. The driver may change the route for traffic or roadworks.
The trip is 43 km and takes about 1 hour 10 minutes in normal traffic. It does not go through Patong.
Drop-off at the airport
The car stops at the departures hall of your terminal, close to check-in. Tell the driver your airline, or the flight number if you have it handy, and he will pull up at the right doors. The arrival meeting points, Gate 2 and Gate A, are for the opposite direction and do not apply to a departure.
Packing the car for the way home
Luggage usually grows during a holiday. A couple who arrived with two cases may leave with three bags and a box of gifts. A sedan, 999 THB, takes up to 3 passengers with luggage. The SUV or MPV, 1,199 THB, takes up to 4 with luggage. The minibus, 1,499 THB, takes up to 9, and the VIP minibus, 1,999 THB, takes up to 8 in a premium cabin.
Count the bags as well as the people. If you are close to a car's limit, take the next size.
The last morning in Karon
A short list the night before saves the awkward minutes at the door.
- Passports and the booking confirmation in your hand luggage, not in a suitcase in the boot.
- Your flight number and departure time ready, in case the driver asks.
- Checkout done and the bill settled, so you are waiting at the pick-up point when the car arrives.
- Large bags together near the hotel entrance, so loading is quick.

The price is the same at 4 am as at noon. The one exception is the holiday surcharge of 400 THB per car for trips on 24 December to 5 January. A booking is paid by Visa, Mastercard or PayPal when you make it.
