What 999 THB buys on this route
For one price you get a private car for the whole 46 km, with fuel and tolls paid and a driver waiting at the airport. International arrivals meet him at Gate 2 next to Exit 2, and domestic arrivals at Gate A. A late plane does not matter, because he follows the flight number.
There is no meter. A slow stretch through Karon on a busy evening makes the trip longer for you, but it does not make it cost more. You pay online at booking with Visa, Mastercard or PayPal. Fast Track at the airport is an optional extra on arrival.
Kata costs the same as its neighbours
The sedan price does not climb with the kilometres on the short beach routes. Kata is 6 km farther than Patong, and the fare is identical. That leaves you free to pick the beach you like instead of the one that saves a few baht.

Two things move the number: the car you choose and the date. Trips between 24 December and 5 January add a holiday surcharge of 400 THB per car. If you arrive on 2 January in an SUV or MPV, the price is 1,199 plus 400, so 1,599 THB.

Airport buses, shared vans, street taxis and ride-hailing apps do not publish one stable price, so look up the figure on the day of travel.
