Prices are per vehicle in Thai baht and include fuel, tolls and the airport pick-up. The number of passengers does not change the price, only the car you need does.

Layan Beach and its place on the coast

Layan Beach, also known as Le Phang, is on Phuket's west coast at the northern end of Bang Tao Beach. It is the quiet end of that long bay, with resorts behind the sand and little other development, a long way from the crowds of Patong. Most people who ask for this transfer have booked a resort or a private villa in the area.

The northern headland has a shallow coral reef wave that experienced surfers know. It is not a place to learn, and a calm-looking day can mislead, so ask your hotel about conditions before you go in the water.

Small roads lead to Layan from the Bang Tao and Laguna side, so the resort entrance matters more than the beach name. Use the Bang Tao transfer if your booking is on the main Bang Tao strip instead.

The 34 minute drive to Layan

Layan is 20 km from the airport, and the driver does not cross the hills to Patong. He leaves the airport area, turns west toward the coast and follows the roads to Bang Tao and Laguna. The time is the same as to Bang Tao, and the last part of the ride runs through the resort area along this stretch of the coast.

Nearby beaches from the airport

Layan and Bang Tao take the same 34 minutes. The sedan price is 999 THB for every beach in the table, so choose by the kind of beach you want.

Arriving at a resort or villa

Check-in at resorts is often in the afternoon. If you land in the morning, ask the hotel about early check-in or leaving your bags before you arrive, because the 34 minute drive will put you at the front desk well before the room is ready.

For a resort, give the name and a map pin. For a villa, send the pin and a phone number for the host or manager that works on arrival, since villa gates are easy to miss and nobody may be at the entrance.

The sedan carries up to 3 passengers with luggage and the SUV / MPV up to 4. Families with several large suitcases usually need the SUV / MPV or the minibus (up to 9). The VIP minibus takes up to 8 in a premium cabin.

Pick-up, timing and payment

The driver follows your flight number, and transfers run 24/7. A 2 am landing gets the same car and the same fare as a midday one, and a delayed flight does not cancel the pick-up. He waits at Gate 2 next to Exit 2 for international flights, or at Gate A for domestic ones.
